I’m excited to share another styled shoot from “Get Hitched”!
A little background on “Get Hitched”: Get Hitched is a non-traditional bridal show that takes place in Fargo, North Dakota and features wedding vendors from across the Red River Valley. This year for “Get Hitched”, we decided to shake things up a bit and do something different. Over the summer – wedding vendors in the area combined our talents and services and created eight styled shoots at various wedding locations in the Fargo/Moorhead and surrounding area. Some of themes included: modern, art deco/Gatsby, outdoor chic, ombré, steam punk, nautical, winter, & countryside rustic. We created mock weddings at each site, complete with a bridal party, jewelry, flowers, table settings, wedding stationery and more! It was so amazing to see each shoot come together, and I was honored to be able to take part in each one! 🙂 Hopefully some of you were able to attend the “Get Hitched” wedding event a couple of weeks ago at the Plains Art Museum here in Fargo. If not, you’re in luck! I’m going to be posting photos from each styled shoot that was showcased at the event.
This post features our “outdoor” wedding. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE outdoor weddings. There are endless options for decor and one can really showcase a variety of styles that reflect the couple’s personality. This was one of my favorite’s of all of the styled shoots. The bright colors of the decor, vintage inspired extras and the gorgeous light Katie Lewis Photography captured really sets the tone for a beautiful outdoor wedding. I had fun branching out a bit with the paper products for this shoot. I actually printed on linen! My inspiration were the bright colors of the flowers, the lovely pattern of the table cloth and the unique bridesmaid dress. Check out the photos below to see the details.
The shoot took place at Rustic Oaks. I love the set-up under a tree! 🙂
The flowers, table linens and decor was done by Sadie’s Couture Floral & Event Styling. I love the pattern of the tablecloth and the vintage china. The hot pink chargers give a fabulous pop of color and a touch of modern.
Trista, owner of Blushed did a fabulous job with our models. West 13th Salon did a lovely job with the hair.
The invite suite I created features linen fabric paper. The linen looks and feels just like a linen fabric. I LOVE this look – something very different and unique. I used a kraft colored pocket-fold envelope to hold everything together. I also added a fun printed pattern paper for a backing card for all of the paper products – the pattern was gorgeous and fun – and really made the invites pop.
The pattern of the tablecloth was an inspiration for the design on the invitations.

I loved the floral swags on each chaivari chair – very unique! Chairs were also from Sadie’s Couture Floral & Event Styling.
The gorgeous gowns were from Très Chic Boutique. Tuxedos: The Bridal Shop.
I loved the fun details of this beverage table. I had fun creating the signage, as well as the adorable drink stirrers.
Drink stirrers are a popular item I offer for weddings, showers, cocktail parties and more. They are customizable – and I offer a variety of straw colors, as well as bamboo stick stirrers.
Sarah’s Sweet Boutique did a fabulous job with this adorable cake!
The menu design was something new that I created for this suite – petal card holders. They open up like a flower and the menu is inside. I added some fun twine and the name card on top for a new take on the menu/place card set up.
Loved that linen paper! It was hit among brides that attended the Get Hitched event as well! 🙂
Wimmer’s Diamonds provided the gorgeous jewelry for this shoot. I love that tear drop engagement ring – stunning!
Katie Lewis Photography did an amazing job capturing all of the fun details and that gorgeous summer light! Love this last shot of our bride and groom! 🙂
